Mason and Ava

We've been having a lot of fun with Mason's new friend Ava.  We took them to Chuck E Cheese a few weeks ago and also to the Zoo.  They are pretty cute together :).
He was not a fan of the actual Chuck E Cheese!
"Please go away!" Poor kid
I'm not sure how much money we spent on food for the giraffes but it was worth it.  They were so cute!

Colorado Girls Trip

My friend Elizabeth had the idea of going on a vacation together to Colorado and I of course jumped at the chance.  I love Colorado but had never been to Denver which is her hometown.  We left very late on a Tuesday night and came home on Saturday.  It was the perfect get-a-way.  While we were there we shopped, she showed me where she grew up, saw the mountains, got massages, ate some amazing food, danced, and did some crazy daredevil stuff as well such as indoor skydiving.  The skydiving was my favorite part of the whole trip!  I also got to have lunch with my cousin who lives out there and have not seen in a long time.  Overall it was just so nice to relax and have some fun.  I actually ended up not taking many pictures but here ya go.

In front of Mile High where the Broncos play.  Go Peyton!

NYE 2012!

Things never go as you plan, especially on New Years Eve.  Our original plan was to have our favorite babysitter come watch the kids so we could head over to Elizabeth and Jerry's house for a NYE party.  It just turned out that Sam was busy and by the time we found out it was too late to find another sitter.  Next option was for neither one of us to go but Ryan was gracious enough to tell me to head over there. We missed him but had such a fun NYE with margaritas and karaoke and pretty great friends which is always a great combo.

Happy 2013 y'all!!

Mason's 3rd Birthday

3? Really?  Mason's birthday came up so fast for me that I honestly never planned anything.  No invitations were sent out, no birthday cake was ordered but in the end it was probably the most fun.  I rented out a lane at Shenanganz (a local bowling alley) and Mason, Kaylie, and Reese, along with their cousins Eden and Ike, and good friends Taylor and Sara had a blast bowling. After one game we sat down so Mason could open his presents and eat cupcakes.  We still had some time left so the big kids were able to bowl a little as well. The whole thing was short, sweet and full of love for this little guy who continues to be the most amazing little boy.

Mason, the older you get the more in love with you I become.  You can drive me absolutely insane at times but every night, while you are sleeping, I just marvel at how adorable and precious you are.  You are most certainly a boy and so we are getting everything that comes with it but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  Love you so much Mr Man.  Happy 3rd Birthday!

After bowling, Matt's family came over for a bit and the little boys were so cute playing together.

Christmas Snow!

On Christmas Day we got an unexpected snow.  It was so beautiful!  Kaylie and Mason didn't stay out in it very long but Reese loved it! I think we ended up getting 4 inches or so and playing in the snow is the perfect way to spend Christmas Day!
