New Years Rockin' Eve (not really)

Tonight ended up being more like New Years sickly Eve. Ryan and I both have some sort of flu bug, Mason has strep and croup, and Reese's stomach hurts. Talk about a cruddy NYE! Oh well, the most important part is that we are all together and happy. Kaylie and Reese wanted to stay up until midnight but I think sleep is more important this year so we will put the girls to bed, Ryan and I will ring in 2012 at 11pm with the New York folks and then head to bed ourselves. I hope everyone has a safe and happy and healthy NYE!

Horseback Riding!

Ryan has a coworker who owns a couple of horses at a ranch not far from our house. Knowing how much Reese wants a horse and horseback riding lessons, he arranged for us all to go out to the ranch this past week and let Kaylie and Reese have some fun. They started out riding a pony but then quickly decided that they really wanted to ride the big horses! They both did so well and seem to be naturals. Ryan didn't even need to hold onto their shirts for very long and was able to just walk beside them because they both had great balance. Reese has been asking to go back ever since so hopefully this is something that we can do much more frequently.
