It was a happy, happy day in the Everhart household!

After almost a year,  Reese's 1st tooth finally, FINALLY, fell out!!  It's been loose for so long and while brushing her teeth a couple of months ago I noticed her permanent tooth was already behind her baby one.  I kept trying to push her to wiggle, wiggle but she adamantly refused.  It finally took calling the dentist and telling her that "Dr Sandy wants you to wiggle that tooth so much because she really doesn't want to pull it but will if she has too".  It only took 2 days after that and the tooth was out.  Unfortunately, she swallowed it which seems to be a pattern in this house because Kaylie swallowed her first one as well.  Anyway, we are very thankful that the 1st one is out but now we have to push her to wiggle the tooth beside it because I noticed that permanent tooth is in as well.  She will be losing baby teeth until she is 20 at this rate!

Another Weekend in Kansas

Last weekend we headed up to Kansas to celebrate our nephew, Ike's, 1st birthday.  We weren't able to spend a whole bunch of time with everyone but I think we used the time we did have well. Saturday morning was spent with my sister and her family.  The kids played outside and had quite a fun time playing ball keep a way.  Heather and I just sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather while watching the kids have a great time together. After our morning with them we headed off for Ike's birthday party.  He's such a serious little guy but so precious!  I wasn't there for some of it because I had a photo shoot but, from what I hear, Miss Eden finally gave Uncle Ryan a hug! This is a huge deal for her and seeing the picture melted my heart! We ended the day with dinner with Gma and Grammie Deane.  Even though it was a short trip, it was well worth it.  We had a great time!

Easter!

Well I am only about 3 weeks behind but I wanted to get our Easter pics up here. Like last year, we joined our friend Wes and many others of LP Forney for their annual Easter egg hunt. There were games, a petting zoo, face painting (that my kids have never ever wanted to do), music, an egg hunt and of course, the Easter bunny. Ryan left early in the morning with the girls to set up and manage the sound system, which he does on Sundays also, and Mason and I joined them later. Reese helped Mason hunt some eggs while Kaylie hung out with the grown ups over by the sound system. Yep it's official, that girl is definitely growing up! Overall we had some beautiful weather and fun was had by us all!

Time to Plant!

Ryan, Kaylie and Reese went to the Home Depot a couple of weeks ago for some weed-killer. They came back with 2 big plastic containers, soil, seeds, a new door knob and paint for the front door. Note to self: Ryan can't contain himself any more than I can in that store! Anyway, apparently Kaylie really wanted to plant some flowers and Ryan, being the spoiler of all little girls in this family, agreed. So the next day Kaylie and Reese got to work and began planting their seeds. Both girls have been very good about going out there everyday to water their flowers and we already have stems. Not too long and they will see the fruit of their labor when the flowers start to bloom. So much fun!

Just a silly day with my kids.

These pictures are from a few weeks ago when we had one of those days where we stayed in our pj's all day and just had fun.
First, Reese stacked the blocks.
And then little brother came to knock them over.
So we have to tackle and hold little brother
Until they are all stacked again and he can knock them all over again.
And then we play with the other blocks and give ooodles of love.
